This page is a showcase of many different signs of different eras throughout Arizona. All the era years are approximate as I can only estimate the times when standards were changed. (This page is also really just an excuse for me to post a ton of signs for fun.)
ADOT signage in this era was smaller, and looked pretty much the same as signs before. However, the main difference is that these signs do not have button copy and some of them have ADOT's failed anti-graffiti covering experiment. You can tell which signs have the anti-graffiti covering depending on whether there are a lot of "cracks" on the sign or not. These signs use the standard FHWA Highway Gothic fonts.

This era is when ADOT began to use Clearview on their signage. This change occurred because at the time, the FHWA suggested the usage of Clearview for better visibility.

Now, the current era of signage. ADOT has reverted back to the usage of Highway Gothic because the FHWA stopped supporting Clearview.
